“Come out of her, my people.”

It is one of the most arresting warnings in the Book of Revelation.

And for some Christians, it carries a very particular meaning:

Come out of Catholicism.

The argument is serious. Catholicism, they contend, has departed so far from biblical Christianity that its doctrines, devotions, and traditions do not merely represent theological error—they belong to the very system Scripture warns Christians to leave behind.

That accusation deserves more than a reaction.

It deserves examination.

Come Out of Her? follows several of the biblical arguments used to make that case, beginning not with the assumption that Catholics must be right or that their critics must be wrong, but with the questions underneath the disagreement.

Who gets to interpret the Bible?
